Beautiful knife with a classy vibe. (cheaper than buying directly from BM)
Dargun K. on Aug 16, 2023

I was nervous to buy online without seeing the exact blade in person first, but this particular knife is out of stock or otherwise unavailable from most of the usual places (including the Benchmade factory). So I decided to take a leap of faith with BladeHQ and am not at all disappointed. The Auto Fact I received looks beautiful, and appears to be in perfect new condition. It's sharp, centered, and snappy on release without any blade-play or other looseness. It might be worth noting that the handle is a little long for smaller hands (mine), but even so it's not at all an unmanageable knife. It's got some decent spring to it, so I could see it jumping out of some hands, but this is my first auto and it hasn't escaped from me yet. Sits deep and comfortably in the pocket. Safety is a little new-sticky, but looks like it will wear in quickly. I'm of the opinion that this particular model is an impressive showpiece and wonderful companion for classy events or special occasions where you might want something dressy, but I don't think the long thin blade is going to be happy with a lot of rough treatment. Would likely be completely fine with regular light work, but you don't want to be reckless with it. That all being said I am very satisfied with this beautiful knife! Already receiving lots of compliments!

Great gentleman's OTS auto (carried regularly since 2021)

I have and love the OTS Stitch and OTF Ultratech from Microtech. That said, for an office/dress setting this is a nice very low-key knife in the pocket, that despite having a pretty long blade length for an EDC, is so slim you barely notice it's there. I would say the very fine point on the blade I'd only use it for lighter tasks, I'd favor the 940 if you are routinely doing heavier EDC work. If you've always wanted the vibes of an Italian stiletto in a very refined package, this is for you. I own a lot of stuff in carbon fiber and the scales on this are in a league of their own, they have an almost hologram quality to them as the light moves.

Beautiful and elegant...not a great clip
Matt H. on Dec 16, 2022

The knife is gorgeous. The action is smooth. The build quality is exceptional. The clip leaves a little to be desired. Given the price and quality of this item, it should grip like a vice!

Love this knife
Ben B. on Aug 20, 2022

Purchased this knife to replace a carbon bugout I lost. I could not be happier with this knife. The action is smooth. The edge is perfect. Even though it's narrow, it fits well in the hand. The action did take some time to break in but overall I couldn't be happier. I wouldn't recommend EDCing this knife but it's great to carry on weekends.

a nice surprise!

I got my first automatic knife in 1956 so to say I am an experienced collector is about right. My wife let me pick my birthday (75th) knife and this fact was my choice. It is a wonderful automatic. Benchmade doesn't churn out any poor knives but this one did surprise me. The blade is long and pointed enough there is never a thought about what it can and cannot do. You are never tempted to pry or strain the point and consequently the blade. But what is can do it does very well. The S90V is new to me and I have only sharpened it once. It got back to razor edge quickly once I treated it like four different blades. I was more surprised by the axis opening mechanism. I have an Adams Auto and it takes both fingers and a pull to open it but with this Fact one finger and reasonable pressure if plenty and the speed of lock up is perfect. It will not jump out of your hand but locks up fast and smooth. I received this knife a month ago and have carried it every day since. Not a common trait for an old knife collector. It is a wonderful "little" knife that carries small and light in your pocket but is always a joy to pull out and use....For the uniqueness and functionablity you get this knife is a bargain and that's a Fact!
