Benchmade Infidel Knives have a unique, practical design that you're sure to love. Pick from our selection of large and small models.
Love this this blade out of all the otfs I have this one is my go to along with my MT combat T
Would be perfect if this also had the double-edged blade.
I own both the infidel and the ultratech, and the infidel is hands down way better. The design, ease of use, and power is far superior to microtech. Everyone shitting on this knife for the price has clearly never owned one. Definitely worth it and would recommend to any OTF knife fans!
An expensive knife but worth the price, you get what you pay for. It's a knife that should serve you well for years and look good in the process.
Do it, just buy it. If you are reading the reviews of this knife you're contemplating buying it. Do it. To answer your question it's worth every penny. The best iteration the 3300 Infidel has ever seen. Crown jewel of anyone's collection.
I already had the blue version when this one came in stock, so I immediately took advantage of BladeHQ's excellent layaway program to make it affordable! Received it today and it's identical to the blue save for being green - more of a matte, whereas the blue is more metallic. Both have the S30V blade steel. Upon first deployment, the blade is rock solid with zero wiggle or play. It's important to state this because with my blue version, it too came with the blade rock solid, but by week two and maybe 50 deployments later, the blade was rocking back and forth like it was about to drop out! I removed the top cover and the blade came right out - the wobble was the result of the way the blade assembly is made. The blade is fixed to a guide boss that rides between the twin steel guide rails and holds the blade in alignment, and also forms the front aspect of the 3-point locking system. The guide boss has a lug that fits into the blade shank, and is held by a large hex screw. As long as the screw is tight the blade is tight. If and when the blade starts to wiggle or wobble, the screw has become loose. The fix is to apply Loc-tite to the screw, cinch it up tight and let it set. After that the blade is rock solid...better than Microtech. The twin locking arms swing in behind the guide boss, pushing it hard into the front of the steel guide frames which makes lock up very tight. If you really yank on the blade edge-wise you can force movement against the spring-loaded locking arms, but it's a superior system to MT's single lock behind one side of the blade shank. The Infidel is a true "fighting knife" with it's dedicated dagger blade, and alloy chassis designed to provide a secure, non-slip grip. The Infidel's deployment system uses twin springs and a longish button push which results in a very "soft" deployment that persons with less strong hands can actuate. Fit and finish is excellent which goes without saying. In real life this is the knife a professional would choose - it's light, compact, sculpted for best hand control, and deploys a blade just shy of 4" that can pierce through heavy clothing, wood, metal, and bone. Of course it came razor sharp! I would advise anyone who wants a "real" OTF combat worthy knife to spend the money on this one!
I have been wanting this knife for about a year but they have been out of stock. I just got mine in the mail today and it is very well made and super sharp. It only has the slightest bit of blade play. Overall, really nice knife.
I owned one of this knifes fresh out of production in 2008. It was my EDC and tactical knife while deployed in Afghanistan. It still with me since then in a special place and I use it often as a EDC since then. It works like new only few time for sharpening and works great. But this S30V version and the color immediately called me up! It is awesome and now I have His big brother in a special place and this will be in my first line of EDC knifes. Some of my friends got jealous with this one. I’m not sorry anymore for not buying the 10th anniversary edition since this one is cooler and certainly improved. Movement seems smoother and again improved steel is a plus.
I handled this knife for some of twenty minutes. It was at a family friend's house, he had owned three of these, the standard black with satin blade, the burnished bronze, and the BHQ blue. This knife was more natural to handle than any I've used before or since, and they were so good, that the family friend refused to even let me borrow it for like a week. I'm eventually going to get one, although I can't really afford it now, so I either have to work with a layaway program, or hope that some rich good Samaritan reads this review and offers to buy me one. pls. pretty pls.
I really enjoy this knife. It's pretty dang cool. Spend the extra $$ and get it engraved. You're already dropping $450 - personalize that bad boy.
Bought 3. Gave my daughter and her husband one each. We love them. Powerful spring, sharp blade. Just cool to own them.
Recently received my Benchmade Infidel from BladeHQ and I’m thrilled with it! The action to deploy the blade is excellent, with a quick authoritative snap. The knife feels very solid and great in my hand. Overall terrific quality, and is highly recommended.
Good knife, great price! Little wobbly compared to my Microtech combat troodon but just barely.
If you've seen one, you want one! I finally got mine here, GREEN. It's action is awesome, with the blade extended it very tight. It's feel in the hand is very secure. For it's size it is so lightweight. Compare it to a cheaper knife half it's size and you'll see. It's a Benchmade and it lives up to it's name!
I had spent a while looking at cheaper OTFs but didnt really like the systems they offered. This knife has a little bit harder button/tab to slide, but this is important so as to avoid accidental ejections. This also helps avoid the need of a safety(which in an emergency could make a huge difference, no need to attempt, then realize its on safe, then have to take it off safe- saves time). It only took me a little bit of playing around to figure out how to manipulate my thumb for smooth function. I would not recommend purchase to someone with weak fingers or particularly small hands without first handling one.(I have never handled a mini, but if my wife wanted one, that's what I would get her) Great knife! I Love It Also for those that have never shopped Blade HQ. It is a great place to buy knives online. I have used them for years.
My new e.d.c. I have a lot of nice knives, this is top tier. Got on sale. Couldn’t resist. thanks blade hq. great service as always. J.M
What a great OTF Knife, the only other OTF I own to compare it to is the Microtech Ultratech Bounty Hunter which is also a sweet little OTF, the Benchmade is smooth operating and very easy to deploy and retract the blade. The Forest Green color is very nice and the price they discounted it to was a great deal coming close to $300 for an Infidel is about as good as it gets and I can say this is a solidly great EDC Knife. It is also fun to just sit there and push the Blade in and out!
Very attractive appearance. the finish provides for a great grip so it handles very easily. The action is like butter, so smooth and so fast with very little effort. in addition to all the above, it is extremely sharp with a beautiful blade as well!
My new Infidel arrived a few days ago. The action is strong and fast. Fit and finish are perfect. This knife undoubtedly can fulfill the EDC and tactical roles. BHQ offered a "can't pass it up deal". Merry Christmas to me...
After years of drooling over pics of the "Infidel" OTF. Finally being able to hold one, did not disappoint. It's weight, balance, Solid Lock-up, Razor sharp double edge blade. It made the wait all worthwhile. Just a tiny bit of up-down play, but thats to be expected for reliability. Absolutely no side-side play. Crisp, fast, and the fitment of this OTF cannot be described. You have to hold one, and slide that perfectly grooved firing button yourself, to understand. When Blade HQ FINALLY put them on sale, I had to jump on it. Good thing I did too, because they are sold out as of today 11/22/19. Is the knife spendy ? Yes, But it's a Benchmade. My first, but it won't be my last.....
Razor sharp! Absolutely no blade play! Wow, better than expected. And a steal.
Been wanting an OTF for years now, and I finally pulled the trigger on this Infidel. Quality materials, S30V steel, and on sale....was a no-brainer!
Just got mine yesterday, First OTF knife that I've ever owned, works like a charm right out of the box.
This knife would be good for the staby staby for self defense. Not really meant for that EDC cutting boxes and stuff.
BHQ had a very sweet discount of this knife and I jumped at it...and what a great deal on a top notch OTF!!! I've been looking at this dude for months and finally pulled the trigger...thanks BHQ for putting it on sale... Looks great, performs great...yep, great buy...get you one!!!
Lightning fast deployment of blade. Solidly built. Worth every penny.
I can’t say in words how content I am with this purchase. As one of the most expensive knives I own, the craftsmanship is beyond superb. The color is beautiful and even, the creases match up perfectly and the discharge is strong. I’m actually surprised that this knife isn’t more costly. This knife is a BladeHQ exclusive. I highly recommend purchasing one before they are gone and you missed the opportunity to own a beautiful OD green color.
Very nice, very sharp, minimum play, smooth action in out and in, don't feel it in my pocket while carrying it. Does everything I need my knife to do. Recommending it to friends. Very appealing to the eye.
Tight lock up. Solid feel. The color is not what I originally wanted but I think it gives some variety to the collection. Won't carry or use it daily but the blade is razor sharp right now.
This is a high quality knife. The fit and finish is perfect. Only one gripe. Prior to buying this knife I looked at 20-30 reviews on the Infidel. The reviews showed a nice Nylon or cordura case for carrying on your belt or Molle hook up. I expected this knife to come with one.
Well, i've wanted one for years, it went on sale, so i finally did it and WOW!. Simply an amazing OTF. Firstly the pictures do not do this knife justice, the green color is amazing, almost iridescent to my eye. The thing that surprised me was the design of the handle. I'd held one before and yeah, it fits great in the hand, but after actually carrying it i noticed ridges on the handle are cleverly andgled, make getting the knife out of your pocket fast and easy. Super impressed.
Best tactical OTF on the market. Be f$&king proud if you own this knife. The Infidel screams American Patriot. I am an Army guy and a Veteran of OIF/OEF. God Bless America and God Bless the Infidel OTF knife. We won’t back down!
If you are a fan of OD green, this knife will not disappoint. The color is so awesome in person and the action is great. Very solid knife with minimal blade play (only a tiny tiny bit, which is expected with OTFs) the bladehq exclusive version is definitely the way to go if you want an infidel.
This is the best color option for this knife! In person the green actually has a bit of pearl in it. Beautiful. Action is clean and crisp.
Typical pristine Benchmade quality. Heat treat is always spot on. The Benchmade warranty is legendary. I will tell you from personal experience that the deployment action on this knife is outstanding. I thoroughly tested it one day in class and the blade shot directly through the palm of my hand. Please do not do what I did. I am telling you right now: this blade deploys hard enough to go through flesh, and it dependably can be re-mounted back onto its spring housing when the blade hits bone, all with a flick of the firing mechanism. Its a great design and is perfect for soldiers and lawmen in need of a last ditch friend. Seriously. Don't deploy it into your hand. Yes, it works.
Looks great and feels comfortable in the hand. Deployment does take a bit of effort but it's not unreasonable and there little chance of an accidental opening. The texture on the deployment slide is course and will test the callouses on your thumb but there's almost no chance of your thumb sliding off. The blade both extends and retracts with authority and there is little play when extended. I have handled a few but this is my first automatic and my first OTF. I think that I've spoiled myself.
Yea it’s a bit pricy but you get what you pay for, made in Oregon city, Oregon USA. Very quick and crisp action with just a little play to compensate for a little dirt should one be in the sand box. And a crazy sharp durable blade.
The look of this knife is top notch and the deployment is superb. The knife was a gift from my wife and the guys at Blade HQ helped her with making the purchase over the phone amazingly easy. Can’t say enough about this place and this knife!!!
just got mine in the mail....the pictures online DO NOT do this color justice, it looks like a matte pearl green, should have been the 10yr. anniversary color over the silver. Excellent exclusive Blade HQ!!! got this for myself for my birthday and I'm more than happy with it. oh and great shipping from you guys, I paid 3$ extra for Express and you guys got it to me in 2 days! just a day after my Bday!! Beautiful knife and excellent service!
I love this knife, but 3 days into owning it, the fire and retract reliability was god-awful. After going back and forth with Benchmade and BHQ, I decided to open up my knife and check it out (THIS MAY VOID YOUR WARRANTY). What I found was that the screw that attached the blade to the carrier was halfway backed out, with zero loctite. There was also tons of “material” from machining and assembly on the inside. After a cleaning, dab of blue loctite, and some low weight oil this knife runs like a champ. If you have the same issue and don’t want to wait the ~1 month Benchmade warranty time, it took me about 10 minutes to fix. Hope this helps someone!
This knife is fantastic. The dual action is hard to put down and very satisfying. The OD green is very well done and the S30V can be made pretty dang sharp. My only gripe is that for a knife of this caliber and price point, it was not as sharp as id like to see. A few passes on by sharpener and some honing did the trick. One star left off due the the sharpness at this price point.
I really like the infidel in green. It's not a very utilitarian type of knife, but I have others that do that. It's just a cool knife. Let's not kid ourselves here, it's primarily a weapon. That said, I would never carry a knife for self protection, that's what a concealed pistol permit is for. Really wouldn't consider it for EDC, not really what it's about. Too big legally to put in your pocket in CO.( over 3.5"), and I don't do pocket knifes in holsters on my belt. I laughed when I saw someone say it's a $400 fidget toy, but it's not far off the mark. Well worth what I paid for it on sale at Blade HQ. Great place to buy knives.
I've been looking at these for years, but couldn't justify spending that much . I had to have one at this price. It's fast and sharp, but has more play than I expected from the brand. I can now check another box on my knife bucket list.
One bad ass looking knife and blade!. Deployment button kinda mushy. Works every time though and other than that a great bargain.
I love the handle, great ergonomics and deployment switch. Only issues I have with it are the blade play and weak spring tension. Most OTFs I’ve used fire out with much more authority.
I received this knife in a factory sealed box. The knife had a blade that had so much side-to-side and up-and-down play that the knife actually rattled when the blade was extended and the knife was moderately shaken. I e-mailed Benchmade and described the condition of the knife. I was told that "The tolerances within the Infidel can change over time and it all depends on who assembled the knife here in Oregon". They offered to repair the knife for me but I decided to return the knife instead. Blade HQ refunded my full purchase price and even paid for the return shipping. I give Benchmade a grade of D and Blade HQ an A+!
Have many OTF knives, from a cheap Lightning OTF, to Microtechs, to custom Deadlock. This Benchmade OTF has the most play out of any other OTF I have ever handled, including my Lightning OTF, which is saying something. Might just be mine though, as I've handled other Infidels at the store and they did not have the same blade play as mine (granted it was the 'standard' version). I've had this blade for a while now, but didn't try another Infidel until recently. I just chalked it up to it being a Benchmade... :/ If not for the blade play issue, it would get a higher rating.
I can’t believe what piece of shhh this product was…I gave it away to a random follower on instagram (I warned him what a po$ it is). It almost never fully deployed unless I held it tip down so gravity could help its weak spring. I love Benchmade but they robbed me of $570 on this one.
This out the front stoped working after 60 days the only thing cool is the name
