Had to get the limited edition and I am glad I did. The colors are awesome. It is going to be hard to use this as it is really a good looking knife! This is a great edc knife that can pretty much do anything. The jumping is perfect and helps with a solid grip. The fit in the hand is perfect for my bear paw sized hands. As for carrying it isn't that heavy. I edc'd it for a week so far and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. It is made to work and do just about anything. It does.... Get you one!
I'm already a big fan of the Mini Adamas so I couldn't pass up this limited edition especially on sale. I really like the look and feel of the burgundy micarta scales--grippy but not at all rough. Fit and finish on mine was great.
Been looking at the MA for a while, but especially liked this Burgundy version. Didn’t particularly need this knife, put it in my cart a few times, but always ended up emptying. Very happy I finally got one and the price was great! I wasn’t sure if I’d like it because the Bailout is one of my favorites due to the thin build. This ended up feeling great in my hands (which are average size), just beefy enough to get a real comfortable, full grip. The curve at the bottom rests very nicely at the bottom of my hand and seems to help secure the knife in my grip. Action came a hair on the stiff side, fortunately the pivot is very easy to adjust. Maybe turned it an 1/16th and it was perfect. Probably would have worked it self out in time, but I was impatient. Now the blade freely falls unobstructed when the axis lock is disengaged. Just enough weight behind the blade to drop naturally with no additional hand movement. Not a proper EDC (for me anyway) but a knife that will undoubtedly see a lot of use and possibly a bit of abuse -I have no doubt it will hold up perfectly over time. Great knife made by a great company and sold by the best online knife retailer at a fair price. Perfect!
I can't say how cool this knife is! The colors are even better in person, it's a great size, and it has the wow factor. It is chunky while not being an eyesore. It's fancy while still being tactical. It is the perfect size for an edc! The jimping is a little aggressive, and has some hotspots if you use if for a while. The factory edge left some to be desired, and it had a pretty sticky action. However those problems were fixed with a strop and some lube. Overall it's a great knife! If you've got your eye on it, bite the bullet and buy it!
This knife could be five stars. The amount of blade play that is considered normal for this $200+ blade is crazy. I love the idea of this knife. The robust Adamas in a form factor that is more EDC friendly. My example has more vertical play than any of my 10 other Benchmade knives and is not confidence inspiring.
