The Benchmade Infidel® out-the-front auto comes in a slightly smaller package; the Benchmade Mini Infidel. Blade HQ's Benchmade Mini Infidel Review is, to put it bluntly, about time (in a smaller package)! A few features we really like is the sliding button on the face of the handle, instead of the side as many others have. The milled "stepped" handle design assures that this knife will not be slipping out of your hand.
We have many other Benchmade Infidel Knives in stock!
I'm by no means a knife "expert", but I own a few of them. When I started getting interested in OTF knives, I did a bit of research and decided to start out with a Lightning, which was around $40 (iirc). For the cost, it was a good knife, though not the most reliable; fun to play around with but prone to slipping off its track (which is easy enough to fix). After using the Lightning for a while, I decided that I liked the OTF design and wanted to get something of higher quality, so I bought one of these Mini Infidels, and let me tell you... "higher quality" this most certainly is! In the year or two I've owned it, it has slipped off the track a single time, and only because I was purposely trying to get it to misfire by activating it while shaking it. When using it normally, I've yet to have an issue. The blade play is minimal, the action is strong, and it's sharp as hell! (Fun fact: when it does eventually get dull, you can send it to Benchmade and they'll sharpen it for you, free of cost.) Long story short, for the price you're paying, you get exactly what you'd expect... and more! This knife is a thing of beauty and as reliable as you'd expect it to be, considering it's a Benchmade product. All in all, I highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed!
I just happened to catch up with one of my former jr high school classmates and I noticed he was carrying a Benchmade knife. It was not an infidel, but a Benchmade non the less. He told me about the Blade HQ website. This is my first Benchmade Knife and let me tell you I will be a life long buyer from Benchmade. This is one FANTASTIC knife… Appearance – The sheer look of this mini-Infidel is mesmerizing; it keeps your attention on the handle just by itself. Although the mini is obviously small, the mini does look beefy for its size. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a big person but the handle is fantastic. It feels very manly and more importantly it feels very comfortable in my hands for being the mini. The texture on the handle feels very gritty, but not in an uncomfortable way by any means. Blade – People beware the blade is sharp and if not careful will hurt you, that being said it’s a beaut..can’t say much more than the blade material itself was a good choice to match the handle. Mechanism – After looking at YouTube for examples on how quick the blade pops out and retracts, they weren’t kidding about how fast the blade moves through the air. If the air was a piece of meat it would be in trouble…just saying. There is no feel of “awkwardness” of the blade when it deploys out of the handle, it does what it’s supposed to do, and does it well… Price – It is priced accordingly. The old adage, “you get what you paid for”, is very true for this item. More than likely I’ll be purchasing the original size infidel and maybe another mini, but with a different colored handle this time. Blade HQ – Fantastic Customer Service and they have earned my life-long loyalty. Thanks Blade HQ
