Description

Description

The 15031-1 North Fork folder is an excellent hunting tool, hence its inclusion in Benchmade's Hunt line of knives. The excellent CPM-S30V steel drop point blade and contoured black/gray G-10 scales make this an extremely capable knife. The North Fork folding knife also harnesses the reliable and easy to use AXIS lock. Ambidextrous operation is also seen in the reversible tip-up carry pocket clip.

While the North Fork 15031 folder is designed specifically for hunters, it is also an adept everyday carry knife that you'll be proud to have in your pocket.

Love this G10 texture, why the recurve?

This would be my favorite 3” benchmade on the market, but I couldn’t get over the recurve. I owned this knife for a year and a half and despised sharpening it. I have no problem with recurve on some of my fixed blades and such, but I find it completely unnecessary on a 3” blade. Ultimately I would choose to carry other knives because of this and when I stop carrying something, I sell it. So I sold it, despite my favorite feeling G10 and a hugely fun knife to play with. I’m enjoying a Benchmade Valet now instead

If you don't want the griptilian everyone has then this is a good choice for you. The g10 is cool imo but the axis lock is a bit stiff. Not a huge recurve fan, but this s30v steel is sharp and it makes this a great edc knife.
Near perfect

It is an amazing EDC knife, I like everything about it. But from my experience you cannot just sit there and open and close it all the time. One of the springs in the axis lock came loose, then came off. But the warranty completely took care of it. But 3 weeks is a long time just to get your knife fixed, but I cannot complain too much as the warranty is amazing regardless.
The nicest knife I own

Okay so up until I bought this the most expensive knife I owned was a spyderco delica 4. I had been watching knife banters and ever since I saw the one where zac looked into buying a knife I started crushing on this. I was tempted to buy the ones with wooden scales but the G10 was a nicer choice since I work in an office where something that would blend into a dark suit would be a nicer option. I love the axis lock. My only problem with it is the I have bigger hands and there isn’t much room to use the thumb stud but that’s fine because I just use the lock to fling it open. It came shaving sharp and ready to use
Awesome blade!

I love this knife, great quality and perfect size etc... for edc. Benchmade is very expensive but it is totally worth it.
Great materials, bad quality.

When I first purchased this knife I loved it, but after a month of use that was the Axis lock become loose and I noticed some vertical blade play. I sent it into to Benchmade and they fixed the issue and gave great service, but after another month I experienced the same issue. I would like you know by no means is the North Fork a bad knife with S30V, G10 scales and full steal liners its actually a great knife, provided you get one that went through good QC.
I felt like I could have spent that money on a different knife and gotten much better performance for the price.

I will go on record saying the Hunt series North Fork is one of the best made small folders in the world.
* Strong Beast
* Excellent CPMS30V - Keeps sharp longer than all others and rated extremely water resistant!
G10 scales are attractive and feel good in the hand.
This has been my EDC for 6 months and I am very impressed with quality.
If you want a real EDC that will seriously hold up to just about anything go no further.
This baby "tank" is as strong as my Spyderco Military 2. Do I need to say more?
