Perfect gift for any hunter

Picked up this knife for my father for Christmas. It was super sharp out of the box. After skinning and processing a deer the knife was still hair shaving sharp.
Great hunting and gutting knife

I recently bought this knife because of a failure of my previous hunting knife. As I am a fan and probably a bit biased toward benchmade this was a logical choice for a replacement.

Pros ergonomics and feel of the knife are great. The knife is very sharp along with the gut hook. The knife functioned flawlessly. It fits in the sheath tightly and over six days of hunting never once thought about the knife hanging of my side or feared it falling out. Also the files or grooves on the spine added a nice spot for traction for my thumb.

Cons there are just a couple first my hands are not very big so the knife was fine for me but it may be a bit thin for someone with bigger hands. Second there are wide grooves in the spine in the handle past the thumb grooves that look like they maybe just for looks, but I found them getting filled with undesirables when I gutted a deer.

Other than that a well made good hunting knife
