This 15008-ORG Steep Country Hunter fixed blade knife has an orange Santoprene handle and includes a Kydex sheath with leather belt loop and secure strap.
My son gave me a Saddle Mountain skinner it was the first Benchmade knife in S30V I have used. It held an edge so well I bought another Saddle Mountain skinner and a Steep Country. The Steep Country is a great smaller knife I have skinned and quartered 4 deer before touching up the edge on crock sticks. It will also do 3 hogs before you need to touch it up on the sticks also. The other hunters can only get through 1/2 a deer before touching up the edge on their knives.
It's a good knife, good steel, really good grip, lots of jimping, the handle is also shaped really well for whatever grip you'll hold it in, I've carried it every day nearly for three months. Now I do have some things I don't like about it, first off the sheath isn't good, it's a basic kydex sheath with a button snap. It doesn't really stay still on your belt, the leather loop goes pretty much whatever direction it wants, when you pull the blade out of the sheath it scratches the finish, which was a pretty nice finish when I got the knife, now it's all a bunch of scratches Recently I've noticed the handle has started to smell bad. It's come into contact with raw meat pretty often and I feel like there's been some liquids seeping under the rubber handle or something, I've washed it with alcohol pretty frequently, soap water, sanitizer water, and a couple other things too, I can't make the smell go away. . Overall I think it's a very nice knife, if it had a good sheath and didn't smell bad I think it would have been an excellent knife.
