This model of the Benchmade Turret sports a black Cerakote coated, partially serrated blade made from CPM-S30V, and OD green G-10 handle scales.

The 980 Turret features one of Benchmades strongest AXIS locks ever. It has a contoured and textured handle made from OD green G-10 scales. The thick drop point blade is made from CPM-S30V stainless steel. Easily opened with either the thumb stud or the AXIS Lock, this knife will make an excellent addition to any tactical gear.

Bought this knife years ago, recently used it to move to a new house and cut open and cut up hundreds of boxes

Zero complaints about this knife, and it still held its edge pretty well after cutting through a ton of shipping tape, cardboard boxes, and plastic I even used it to help assemble a few pieces of new furniture when it was handier than a screwdriver. I will be mailing it back to Benchmark to get a lifetime sharpening experience since I love the knife and have zero complaints. This was my gateway drug into collecting several new higher-end knives, so be pre-warned folks. :)

Amazing big tank of a knife. A couple things that are personal preference, I don't like that it's smooth G10 and I wish it came in black plain edge. Either way it's still bad ass.

Had this for a couple weeks and absolutely love this knife! Black cerakoted blade with an OD green G-10 handle makes this a beautiful work of art. Axis lock is broken in and flips like magic when you open it. Very sharp out of the box and very comfortable in the hand. The deep carry pocket clip does a great job at concealing it in your pocket and the size of the knife in the pocket is just right. You can feel just how tough this knife is when you flip it open. I’m very confident this knife will last me a very long time!
