Description:

The Bestech Texel, designed by Adam Purvis of APurvis Blades, is everything you want in an EDC knife and nothing you don't. This no-frills design has a usable sheepsfoot blade made of super-tough steel and a sturdy liner lock. In Bestech fashion, the action is slick and easy to use one handed. The flipper is easy to actuate, but won't bother your hand going in and out of the pocket.

Solid budget edc.
Talan K. on Apr 27, 2022

I picked this up on the 150th sale and it’s been a decent little knife. Fit and finish are good. Lockup is solid with no blade play. A little stiff out of the box but I expect it to break in overtime.

First impressions good
Mark A. on Jan 27, 2021

I just received this today in the mail and have been using it as much as I can and so far it looks like it’s going to be a good edc. I was a little hesitant about the color scheme but I’m starting to get into nontraditional designs and colors as I see more of them. The knife has good action and it rides in the pocket really well with no hotspots while holding it. Overall a great blade so far.

Stormtrooper White
Bryan T. on Jan 4, 2022

I was on the fence purchasing the Texel for quite some time. I liked the design but never pulled the trigger on this one. The other day, I got a message that the white was back in stock, so I decided to purchase and am SO glad I did. This little knife is such a smooth flipper. It flips open everytime, without fail (even when I try to fail it). The ergonomics are spot on, it fits my M/L hands perfectly. The blade was perfectly centered and sharp as a razor. The pocket clip is stout. The only negative is that the clip isn't adjustable for lefties! Definitely two thumbs up for this little knife!!

Stylish and functional
DANIEL T. on Apr 25, 2022

The value at this price point is terrific. Handle and blade styling is similar to much more expensive knives, and the white G10 carbon-fiber textured scales really pop in comparison to the drab tactical colors that dominate the market. I feel the modified sheepsfoot blade is a very functional design for EDC. Pocket clip is short, I would prefer a longer one, but it grips securely. The closing detent was too stiff at first, but a few minutes of repeatedly forcing the blade past the detent loosened the action. Were it a more expensive knife, I would have docked one star for the detent, but at this price point the quality is fine for an EDC. And the white G10 is so cool, I like it much better than the current fad of “natural G10” scales that have a translucent greenish tinge.

Not bad
Brendon N. on May 4, 2022

The color scheme is 4/5, the action is 3.5/5, the blade shape and grind is 5/5, and the blade finish is 4/5. The white G-10 is 5/5, and the handle ergos are 4/5. My only real gripe is the 12c27 steel. In an era where I can get 14c28n or D2 for cheap, I think 12c27 is not so good. It still takes a keen edge fairly easily though, so not that bad, just not ideal. If you don't mind that part, the knife is a fair value, but I'd recommend looking around at this price point before you pull the trigger, as there are some really good offerings from QSP, Petrified Fish, Civivi, Kizer, CJRB, Harnds, and Miguron in the same ballpark. To be frank I only bought this particular one because I really liked the colors and silhouette and it was during a steep sale. If I could go back I'd probably put the money towards a Beluga or Sirius, but I don't actively dislike the knife, so I won't go through the trouble of returning it.
