For best results, clean and fully dry the blade, removing any old oil, residue, or moisture. If you want, slightly warm the blade so the wax spreads more easily. Apply a very thin, even coat of the wax, making sure there are no thick spots. Let it sit for about 10–20 minutes, until it starts to haze or feel slightly tacky rather than wet.

Buff the blade thoroughly with a clean cloth until it feels dry and looks even, leaving only a thin satin layer. For better protection, you can repeat with additional thin coats, buffing between each. The blade is usable right away, but allowing it to sit for 12–24 hours helps the oil component fully cure and harden for longer-lasting protection.

• Never leave oil-soaked materials in a pile. Heat buildup is more likely when airflow is restricted.
• Lay out used rags and materials flat to dry in a well-ventilated area, away from combustible surfaces.
• Submerge used materials in water and store them in a sealed, non-combustible container (such as a metal can with a tight-fitting lid) until proper disposal.
• Dispose of oil-soaked waste properly in accordance with local hazardous waste regulations.
• Keep away from heat sources, sparks, and open flames during use and drying.
• Do not store in confined or poorly ventilated spaces where heat may accumulate.
• Use only in well-ventilated areas and follow all product instructions.
