Description

Description

Designed by renowned knife maker Lucas Burnley, this push-button Boker Kihon is a Blade HQ exclusive model that's been tricked out with an aftermarket coil spring for hard-hitting automatic action!

"Kihon" is the Japanese term for the basic techniques of several martial arts. With tactical aim and some far eastern flare, the Boker Kihon is worthy of its name. This tactical/EDC knife is destined to become a classic.

The stonewashed AUS-8 blade has a sweeping edge that makes slicing a breeze. Designed with traditional Japanese swords in mind, the handle has a rayskin texture that provides a good grip while not tearing up the pocket.

Features:
  • AUS-8 drop point blade is easy to sharpen and cuts like a dream
  • Ray skin textured aluminum handle is tough and ergonomic
  • Powerful and reliable automatic action

Just press the button and you get a strong spring and blade lock every time.
If it is a bit tight at first, a drop of WD-40 on the spring aids in a fast break-in for the mechanism. Great value!
Solid, fast deployment

A little sticky at first but the action became smoother the more I worked it. It's a good knife!

Order 3 of these knives , every version all 3 colors , black and copper were ok but stonewashed one had a problem with a spring .I have opened a knife and spring was all twisted like it was damaged or just poorly made from factory, as far as I know BladeHQ guys install those springs before they ship knives, how is possible that they missed those, it seems like quite a lot of these knives comes with very poor action which comes from defected springs , I will keep the knife regardless because I have order from bladeops replacement springs and I have fixed the brand new knife which it should not have those problems.
p.s. I have order a lot of knives from bladehq it has never been a problem , I do not know if they come like this from factory which would a shame because I had many boker kalashnikovs and they are phenomenal knives, or just blade hq staff got to pay more attention when adding those springs and check them more carefully . Thanks
Great concept, poor execution

I received this knife and loved the blade shape, sharpness, and light weight. However the firing spring broke after approximately 2 dozen deployments. I own several of the Boker Kalashnikov series autos and all of them function perfectly after hundreds of deployments. I wish this knife functioned properly because I like most everything about it, but an auto that doesn't deploy isn't much more than a paperweight.
Blade HQ response:
Sorry to hear about your spring! Please contact customer service and we will take care of you. These actually use the same spring as the Kalashnikov, so it sounds like a bad spring.
