This version of the Boker Plus Kalashnikov replaces the coil spring with a flipper tab, making this longtime auto a manual flipper knife. It also features a reduced pocket clip for a more streamlined look and feel. If you're on the hype train for manual button lock knives like we are, you'll love this latest entry in the Kalashnikov family!
Features:
"Kalashnikov" is a mouthful, no doubt about it. The name most famously belongs to Mikhail Kalashnikov, the inventor of the AK-47 rifle. In Russian, where the gun was created, it was known as "Kalashnikov's automatic gun." Not long ago, German knife company Boker teamed up with Blade HQ to create the Boker Kalashnikov automatic pocket knife! It sold like hotcakes year after year, especially our Dessert Warrior addition, which kickstarted a donut cutlery revolution. Now, we're happy to announce this best-seller's latest, hottest iteration: the Boker Kalashnikov Button Lock.
That's right—we stripped the "automatic" from the Kalashnikov but kept the button lock and added a flipper. These changes make the knife extremely fun and easy to operate one-handed (and to fidget with) while making it more accessible to those who live where automatic knives are restricted. The Kalashnikov has always excelled in certain places:
This button lock version boasts all those same features, plus the addition of a shorter, simpler pocket clip. It might just be the best Kalashnikov yet!

We all know that the auto Kalashnikov is one of THEE most popular knives in modern times. But, being an auto, has always been a bit restrictive. This one solves that though. Same great style (like exactly!) but with a super fidgety button lock flipper that is all the rage right now. Of course these won't have the same lightning fast action as the auto, but it is pretty darn close.
First off, I love the auto kalashnikov. I have half a dozen of them in various sizes, shapes, and colors, and I've honestly never really had an issue with any of them and I carry one most days. I was excited to see them release a flipper version and eager to pick one up. I really do like it, same feel that is known from the auto model and overall a good blade. Only thing bad I have to say is I wish that the detent was just a little stronger. It has a fairly loose detent, making it kind of tough to get it to fully open unless you really get on the flipper tab. This was a little disappointing and makes it slightly less "fidget-friendly" than other button lock flippers. I've only had the flipper for a few days now so I cant speak for the durability, but I would expect nothing less than quality if its anything like the autos. Maybe its just me though with the detent, for the price I would still recommend this knife to anyone!
