Customer Reviews

Great little tool for adjustments
Matt B. on May 8, 2016

This is exactly what I was looking for, and at a reasonable price... I can now adjust tortion bars and reposition pocketclips with ease.. Haven't ventured anything more involved yet but this seems well suited to whatever you'd want it for.

Great tool
Les P. on Apr 2, 2021

I can't compare this tool with its competitors since this is the only torx tool I've ever owned. I read lots of reviews on the cheaper tools and how the bits twisted or otherwise became useless due to soft steel. Good overall reviews lead me to this tool. So far I can say its worked perfectly with no distortions or twisting of any kind. Its small, compact, and contains all the bits I'll need right in the handle, which is also very comfortable to hold and use. I highly recommend this tool.

Great Tool!!!
Donald R. on Aug 2, 2020

I needed something small to fit my knife tool/sharpening pouch that I carry in my go bag. This fit the bill. It has all the bits you need to work on just about any knife. Very handy to have and of very good quality which you can expect from Boker/Wiha.

Excellent Tool
Ryan I. on Jan 20, 2018

If you enjoy maintaining your own knives, this tool is essential. I've tried several cheap tools and they either strip or strip screws, this tool is made by Wiha and the quality is awesome. I've even been able to get some screws out that other tools had stripped. The quality is on point! Must buy.

Buy once, cry once.
Grant H. on Feb 16, 2019

I bought this driver and bit set after having many cheaper sets. I love this. The bits on all of the other sets that I have had have broken or stripped after very few uses. These, after about a month of owning them, still look brand new. I will always buy Wiha from now on.

Great driver
jerry w. on Sep 14, 2018

Wiha torx set is just what I needed to change my Boker plus from a tip down to a tip up. And to dismantle my knife for cleaning and oiling of moving parts. A high quality tool.

Great tool for knife enthusiasts.
Adrian G. on Aug 25, 2021

This is a expensive tool, but a critical one for knife enthusiasts. The most popular size Wiha torx bits are included for knife maintenance. The bits are hardened and better than your average torx bits. The handle itself is magnetized with a rubber coating and holds the bits securely while inserted and for storage in the back of the handle. The handle is ergonomic and great for making precise adjustments to pivot screws. There are cheaper options but you are not going to get this quality. I also have the Kershaw tool. The bits rounded out on that one after some use and the handle is much more difficult to use compared to this Boker/Wiha model. I highly recommend this Boker/Wiha stubby tool if you have a knife collection and like to tune and perform maintenance on them.

Highly recommend
Aaron P. on Sep 13, 2020

This is a good quality tool that is small in length, making it easier to keep with you. It won’t fit in your pocket because of the handle size, but the handle is super comfortable in hand. The magnet holds the bits and screws securely. The bits are held in the base of the handle with friction, which seems secure for now. I don’t know how this will hold up over time with regular use but may not be an issue. Overall this is a great, well-made tool that I would highly recommend.

My go to tool for knife work
Chris C. on Jan 24, 2016

I love this little tool. I use it for disassembling knives, replacing clips and scales. I can imagine how you could break a bit unless you were doing something extreme with it. Very solidly built. The magnet sucks the bits into place when changing them. Very compact and the rubber like handle allows for a nice grip. All the bits store inside of it so you will not loose them in between uses. I have been using this tool for over a year now and have zero complaints.

Jozef J. on Aug 26, 2019

This or at least something like this is needed if your a knife guy. This happens to be the one I own because I like the shorty. Gives great handling and the bits store in the handle which is great for storage but better for giving this a little weight behind it. Take your knives apart and enjoy cleaning them. This is the tool for the job.

Good tool
John P. on Jul 19, 2019

Works perfectly fine for me, and is small enough to be very convenient. It might be slightly more expensive than other toolsets like the Benchmade Blue box but it's a lot more comfortable and portable.

Awesome bit driver but the bits are junk.
Heather B. on Jun 30, 2018

I bought this for the known Wiha quality and so far it is nice and small to keep in your bag of tools to work on your knives, gun, etc.I keep mine in my computer desk drawer so that I can futz with my knives while watching Blade HQ videos on YouTube. Like Danny, the previous reviewer, I had the tip of the T6 bit actually shear off in a screw head. I measured the thickness of the piece that sheared off and it was .024". It was a clean cut like someone had sawed it off. Also, the flutes on the Torx bit were twisted like the steel was not hardened correctly.I had to twist them back into position on a already tightened screw.IMHO, the bit steel is too soft for anything with red loc-tite on it and I sure as heck would not use it for torquing on scope mounts. This is clearly for light duty and I could have bought the same item at Horrible Fraught for $15 less.

Portable and convenient
Orson B. on Oct 24, 2019

Very nice storage in the handle. Replacement bits easily available if you are hard on them. I can see trouble using the smaller bits on cheap screws that are not the right size.

Convenient little tool
Elbert C. on Sep 21, 2019

Convenient and super handy, but don't expect any hard use out of it. The T7 bit started wearing out while I was trying to undo a particularly tight screw. I would still recommend it though, since it is extremely convenient to have all the bits in the handle.

T6 bit broke off in the screw.
Danny Y. on May 14, 2015

I bought this item with the intent of changing the pocket clip location on my Kershaw Cryo. When I tried, the T6 bit's tip broke off in the screw head. I haven't used any of the others yet. Just a word of warning for potential buyers.

Needs T9
Michael M. on Aug 25, 2018

A lot of my knives use T9. It needs a T9 more than it needs a T5

Nice Design, Poor Quality
Richard H. on Jun 7, 2021

The Wiha bits "Made in Poland" are junk compared to the old German ones. This is a nicely designed handle, but the whole point is to use the bits. My T6 bit stripped out on the first use. I've got Chinese bits from Amazon that are better than this (rhymes with "Wiha").

Disappointed in quality
Ben H. on Aug 25, 2022

I ordered this for use on my daily EDC knives and it seemed useful to have around. It worked great for taking apart my knife and allowed me to clean it properly. However, two of the Torx bits stripped themselves when I was re-assembling the knife and no longer functioned. I wasn’t very forceful, the bits just crumbled upon reassembly. Wouldn’t recommend it.
