Nice folder but dodgy Chinese build quality

I probably would rate this as 3.5 stars.

THINGS I LIKE
This is a substantial EDC knife in terms of length and weight. Nicely balanced, however, and the wood grip feels really nice in my hand.

The coloring of the blade, the frame, the pocket clip and the bolster match almost perfectly.

This is a deep pocket clip with finger contours that make it very comfortable to grip the knife.

Most clips have too much tension, and this one did, too. I removed it and ever so slightly bent it outward by maybe 0.05mm so that it can slide in and out of my pocket yet not fall out.

WHAT I DON'T LIKE
There was way too much tension on the pivot, even after breaking it in. A few minutes with a No. 9 star driver took care of it.

The blade is off center when closed. It's not a big deal, but if you're a perfectionist, this will annoy you.

The wooden handle fits perfectly on one side but on the other will need to be sanded down by maybe 0.1mm so that it mates correctly with the bolster. When you look through the side of the knife, you can see some screws protruding through the frame.

I should be able to knock those down with a Dremel.

The lanyard hole also wasn't clean. It still had wood particles in it.

This is a nicely designed knife that is hurt by a lack of skill (or care) by the Chinese workers. This is because the emphasis is on quantity. Quality is good but really needs to be be improved.

OVERALL
I really like this knife, and I'm glad that I didn't pay more than $40 for it.

For me, this knife feels absolutely perfect in my hands. Despite its weight, I can carry it all day without noticing it.

Boker needs to get better quality from its workers in China.

The quality is about 97% there, but that last 3% is inexcusable.

By the way, I'm keeping the knife, and I'll complete the last 3% myself.
