The Burchtree designed Impetus folder from Boker has arrived!
The Impetus flipper is a collaboration between Burchtree Bladeworks and Boker Plus. Followers of Michael Burch will recognize the distinct shape and feel that the Impetus knife embodies. It has a beefy 440C steel blade with a deep stonewash finish. Action is excellent with the IKBS ball-bearing pivot, and the flipper makes opening a simple affair. Black G-10 scales and orange peel textured matte gray bolsters are fastened to a liner lock frame Includes a stonewashed stainless steel pocket clip to make this your go-to everyday carry knife.
I bought this knife on August 2015 and I'm pleased with it. The shape of the blade is very unique and razor sharp. The fliper is very nice, I don't have a problem deploying the knife when I need it. The blade alignment how ever is a little of but it does not touch the handle, so no big deal. Over all this is a good looking knife and I have gotten many complements from close relatives.
I say "near" because this is a mass produced Burchtree design. However, the overall design and functionality of the knife is superb. The beefy blade is an awesome design working off the sheepsfoot design. The opening was a little tough at first , but I loosened the pivot screw just a hair and it flies open like sliding down a slip n slide. If you can't afford or even get chosen in one of his lottery drawings, this knife is the next best thing.
