Customer Reviews

Love it!

It’s a really nice edc friction folder. I have no issues adjusting my pivot screw. The blade came sharp and is holding an edge. Very comfortable and intuitive to use. Easy one hand operation. I drop it into the internal 5th pocket in my Duluth Trading brand cargo pants with the flipper pointing up/ tip down. Very easy to fish out of the pocket. Overall a great classic style with modern materials and design. Feels more like a modern knife in the hand and much higher quality than a Svord Peasant. I’m sorry to see it discontinued; people are missing out.

The blade is nice.

I bought this because I have to JD Van Deventer friction folders. Boker has essentially obtained permission to produce these knives in China at a reduced cost. Its actually quite nice and the blade grind is good and sharp. I also appreciate that the blade steel is D2 unlike the Bohler N690 on the originials. While a nice steel, the Bohler N690 requires touch ups quite often to keep a keen edge. I basically bought this knife for the D2 blade, it was cheap enough. The bad, they give you an allen wrench to adjust the pivot but its locktited so much that the blade basically has to stay in its "floppy" state. I like to crank my friction folder blades down tight so I can safely carry them in my pocket, not the case with this knife! After about an hour with a dremel tool I eventually got the blade off the knife with no marks on it and while it was too big to fit on my Henkels special edition Van Deventer friction folder, it did fit perfectly on my Sakman Steenkamp friction folder handle replacing the Bohler N690 blade on that knife.

Looks familiar

This has a eerie resemblance to JD van Deventer's EDC-FF. The price is very good. If it wasn't a friction flipper I would be in on one.
