Description:
This model of the CIVIVI Badlands Vagabond has a black FRN handle with a satin finished blade.
Unlike your typical vagabond, the CIVIVI Badlands Vagabond knife has a place to go...Your pocket! This knife is the perfect EDC for any outdoor wandering or excursions your craving. The reliable blade has a satin finish and is made out of 9Cr18MoV. The FRN handle is heavy-duty and made for tough love. The thumb stud united with a caged ceramic ball bearing grants a quick action opening. Tackle any badlands with this new, slick folder!
I can't say what others have had issues with, but out of the 25 - 30 folders I own, this model has quickly made it to the top 5! One adjustment I made immediately; bought black nanocord and a Civivi bead, and made a fob for the back. No issues with gripping, control, or retention. Sharpens easily, holds it's edge. Smoothest flipper in my collection. After the "Circulus" and now the "Badlands", I want to add a "Brazen" for the perfect Civivi trifecta!
Hands down for the $ it's better than good. Lock up is awesome, functional choil, sharP, centered, even grind. The only gripe is the liner... That broke in after the first day. BHQ is always on point; 1st and def not my last Civivi.
The grip is almost non-existent on this knife. It DOES sharpen easily, cuts well, and fits nicely in the pocket. The option of using the flipper tab OR the thumb stud is also lovely. But I can't get past the fact that I feel like I'm going to drop it every time I use it.
