Description:
The CIVIVI Cogent button lock knife is the perfect folder for those looking for easy one-handed operation. The knife features top-end flipper action; an alternate method for opening is simply pushing down the lock and flicking your wrist. A similar action will close the knife, no off-hand needed. It comes at a killer price point to deliver value for years. If that's not cogent grounds for purchase, then we don't know what is.
The CIIVI Cogent is available in several variations that are worth looking at. Also be sure to browse our vast selection of other CIVIVI folding knives.
I own several Civivi's and the action on this one is just phenomenal (as well as the rest) but I seem to find myself grabbing this one more then not
Civivi is knocking it out if the park, this should come as no surprise. This folder is no exception. The action is fantastic and is enjoyable to deploy with the button or flipper. I think this will fill the void for so many of us who want a Protech Malibu, but at a third the price. Very ergonomic and functional blade. This is coming close to replacing my favorite civivi (baby banter)
Mine came with a pretty loose detent, to the point where I was kind of nervous to carry it. I could easily shake the blade open. I tightened the pivot a tad and now it's fine. Action is still just as good too. I own all the Civivi BL's up to the Chevalier and the Cogent is definitely the weakest one. The fuller ergonomics of the Conspirator make it a much easier recommendation. If you want 14c28n over Nitro-V then just get the Chevalier. I would recommend the drop point Brazen over this. The ergonomics are better and the thumb stud plus flipper make it much more enjoyable to use than this. The Cogent is still a great knife but I think there are just better options that still fulfill everyone's needs.
