Description:
The CJRB Taiga is a perfect sized flipper knife. With tough steel liners and carbon fiber scales, you won't have to worry about structural failure. Following the smooth action of the flipper, a liner lock secures the D2 blade in place, ready for heavy to light cutting at your will. Includes a deep carry pocket clip and a lanyard hole.
I liked a recently purchased Rat 1 in some ways, but I found it failed on opening a good bit and the liner lock was a real struggle to disengage to close the knife one-handed. When I saw the Taiga it seemed like a rough equivalent, but with my two other CJRBs being really good performers in opening and closing I assumed that would be true of the Taiga and it was nice to find that was correct. It's a bit lighter but just as solid as the Rat, but much nicer performance as well as better steel and tip-up carry. I don't mean to hate on the Rat here, it's a great knife and I like it a lot, but for ten or twelve bucks more you can get some additional features in the Taiga if it matters.
