I love this knife and if you're on the fence you should just get it. of all my collection, this one gets the most pocket time. it's action is stupid snappy and clean, the micarta feels perfect. perfectly centered and hundreds of flips. I feel so silly owning so many high end expensive knives well over $300 each and yet this is my fav to play with and carry. *I did visit CJRB website and get their flay lay Ti pocket clip which is a perfect match for this blade*

Got this during the anniversary sale. For the money I don't think you can beat it my first Micarta scales and they are sublime. The action is impressive. The only nit I can pick is that a flipper tab would be nice and I can't believe I just said that, I am usually not fond of flippers. It is going into my EDC carry rotation now BHQ calm down on the sales I might need some more knives but I might not want them.

I love this knife. The deployment on mine is exactly right. The texture of the micarta is amazing. I have a Ria and an Artisan Arroyo with the same micarta, which is why I wanted this. One strange thing, on this knife the color does not match, one scale is greener, than the other, totally different shade. Canít be intentional, the other knives listed above are all the same color. Anyway, itís all the better, makes it a bit unique, and the fit and finish is great otherwise. Great BHQ exclusive 👍🏼

Revising my review after a week of EDC: I really like it now. I love the look, and the loose/grittiness during initial closing I mention below isn't a big deal. Lightweight and easy in the pocket.

Original review:

I really want to love this knife, but it's just OK so far out of the box. Haven't carried it yet, so maybe it will grow on me.

Pros: Great looking knife! 5 stars there. The micarta is great. The brass accents look great. Blade is very sharp. Deployment is fast and blade locks open cleanly. As other reviewers have mentioned, you do have to load up a bit to open it, but it is not excessive. But that does result in a snappy opening, almost as if assisted. Liner lock thumb ramp is a decent size. A too small liner lock ramp making it hard to close was a big detractor for me on another knife.

Cons: Closing. There are a few degrees of blade movement after unlocking before the blade starts riding on the small pin on the liner lock. This creates a catch point when the pin is encountered. The totally free movement of the blade followed by the catch at the pin gives the knife a cheap feel at odds with everything that is great about the knife. It seems like a small detail, and may be for a knife at this price point, but it stands out to me as other, even cheaper, knives don't have this issue.

I'll just have to see if carrying this allows me to get past this one small design flaw. YMMV.
Fantastic for the price

TL;DR- great knife, would buy again, would recommend to others

This knife very well may be the best value knife I own. Starting at the bottom and working up:
-The deep cary clip is great, recessed clip and recessed screws give it a refined feel.
-The micarta has a great texture and look.
-The barrel spacers and pivot collar pair with the green micarta for a fabulous aesthetic.
-The scale cutout for the lock bar is perfectly sized and the contoured liner lock bar is pleasant on the thumb, contrary to some I own that have jimping on the lockbar.
-The bearings, detent, and rounded thumb stud result in an action that is smooth as butter. FAR better than should expected for an ~$50 knife.
-D2 blade came sharp, was easy to put a new edge on, and has maintained its edge nicely.
-The tip is very fine, a little to delicate for my taste but great for any light precision work.

This knife is nearly identical in size, shape and handle to a Benchmade small Griptillian. This blade deploys so much better than the Griptillian but the steel caps out at D2, which is still super-respectable. Also comes with a Micarta handle, which IMHO is better than the polymer or G10 handles on the Griptillians. The Griptillian's blade steel can be had from S30V to S90V (from the Benchmade custom shop) which are unarguably better than D2, but at 2-4x the price. I love both, but from a quality and value perspective, the CJRB Feldspar really can't be beat. What an absolutely great knife.

This is a great little budget knife. The green micarta and brass accents really compliment each other well. Mine had a significant amount of lock stick that I haven't been able to break in yet, you really have to load up on the thumb stud when you go to flick it open. Other than that, the fit and finish is pretty good for a knife in this price range.

Love the look and feel of this knife. Love the shape of the blade and sharpness--very sharp! The green micarta handle is beautiful. Only criticism is flipping the blade out--it's as though there's a magnet holding it in place and its difficult for me todo. I'm hoping it'll loosen up with use.
