The CRKT 6 Bit Driver Tool, designed by Joe Wu, is a compact bit driver that fits in a bag, a tool box, etc. and is perfect for knife maintenance. It includes six TORX bits, a T6, a T7, a T8, a T9, a T10, and a T15. The bits are stored securely inside the handle, and are magnetized into the hex socket when in use.
Been waiting for this to be in stock. Very happy to see it comes from wiha bits T6, T7, T8, T9, T10, and T15 basically the ones I need for knife maintenance. I have a number of drivers from Benchmade to one very similar to the leather wrap and metal driver offered by CRKT and paid substantially more. I bought this as a backup. I like it for its easy storage and compact design. The magnetic retention for the bits and cap is a great idea. The only thing I would change is to swap another T6 for the T15.
Opened mine to find Wiha bits included in the sizes described. I do not see the bit manufacturer in CRKT marketing so it’s not a promise. Knurling feels nice and grippy. The magnetic cap has its good and not so good. Good - easy to open. Not so good- stays on, but spins in place. I like the feel in my hand, but the lid will stay still in my palm, sliding against the driver. I’d say it’s a sliding bearing feature if you want to push down and torque. Might not be for everyone. Took apart and re-assembled a folding knife. Easy to control as any other stubby. Great budget value driver. Consider buying this instead of a Wiha 38045 stubby with Torx. The Wiha 38045 doesn’t include a Torx 6 bit. This is a touch more class for a few more dollars and you don’t necessarily need to buy a spare Torx 6 for knife maintenance.
