Ken Onion has designed a number of spectacular knives with awards to back the claim. The Outrage is the next great design, with Ken's signature curves and grace. It has a sweeping drop point blade with flipper opener and a smooth IKBS ball-bearing pivot. The 6061 aluminum handle is gunmetal gray with a milled and contoured surface. Set inside the handle are nested stainless steel liners and a lock tab. Pocket carry is tip-up with the short, deep carry clip.

Absolutely Excellent Value folder!

great flipping action, good ergonomics. The aluminum still has plenty of grip due to all of the milling in the handle design, and this knife is probably the BEST knife ive owned or handled around this price range in my opinion.
sweet action on a budget

If you want a silky smooth knife on bearings with an excellent detent, this is your knife (although most other CRKTs will fit the bill as well).

I love the blade shape, lots of belly with a precise tip. Pocket clip rocks.

I reprofiled the knife and it's ground pretty asymmetrically. The bevels turned out sort of ugly but I'm also not the best sharpener.

Aesthetics in general are sort of wonky. The aluminum is sort of an unpleasant color and the texturing on it doesn't help.

Disassembly is a nightmare. The screws are sort of freespinning in the backspacer and there is an abnormal amount of washers and bearing races in the pivot area.

Overall, despite the disassembly troubles, it's a sweet knife. Once you get it cleaned up on the inside and properly lubed and sharpened, it's a great mid-sized gent's folder.
Smooth deployment

The curves on the blade with the perfect ergos of the handle will entertain for hours, a flipper fidget toy. The bearing is super smooth with little effort needed to deploy the blade. Use caution when using one hand to close the blade. The bearing is so smooth you can lop off a couple fingertips if you're not paying attention. The aluminium handles are slick and not tactile, so may not be ideal in marine environments. At this price point for a quality steel blade flipper, you can't go wrong.
