Wow! Couldn't be happier with this knife!

The flipper action on this is insane! I can't believe how fast the blade deploys! The blade is very sharp out of the box, though I will do my usual thing with new knives and strop the edge. But yeah, it weel cut! :) Right out of the box, this knife screams quality. The handle material. The rough texture really aids in gripping. The spine is nice and thick for lateral stability but the deep convex grind pretty much seals the deal that this is a slicer, which is what I was after. The grind striations are straight and give the blade a really nice look. And don't get me started with the Wharncliffe shape. I think that's a very subtle but important distinction of a Liong Mah design. I dig the gentle curve of his Wharncliffe blade edge, which is what drew me to this knife in the first place. Pair that with the solid D2 steel and this is a winner all around! And as much as I'd love to own an actual Hawk, this is a great knife in its own right.
