Works great for clearing out branches in my yard

I bought this to take care of branches/small trees which grow too tall/wide and block things I need to access. It did a great job.

It's very important to hit with the proper part of the blade to minimize energy wasted and maximize cutting power.

It makes a very satisfying sound when it hits a branch.

I've used it so far on a somewhat damp branch. It's the kind that if you tried to snap it, it would bend a lot then tear and it has some green inside. I'm not too knowledgeable about trees so that's the best I can do.

The included sheath is nice as well, but caution is advised. I wasn't paying attention and stabbed myself with the tip of the machete once.

Cold Steel support claimed that it comes very sharp but it didn't. It did have an edge but it didn't cut very well until I sharpened it myself with a Smith's sharpener for Axes and Machetes. Not a big deal, but something important to know. Maybe mine was a result of poor QC and normally they do come sharper.

The finish and overall design make it look very good too. No complaints overall, just hope it lasts a long time.
