Customer Reviews

The Hype is warranted.

All the good stuff that is said about these knives are true. Yes, it's 8Cr13MoV, but it's only $25 also.

Great value

I couldn’t believe how nice the action is on this knife, not great steel but everything else about it makes it a great buy

Great budget knife
Howard G. on May 31, 2022

Just received this knife and, having had some from across a broad price range, I’ve got a few initial thoughts. The construction is superb. The LCK came with vault like blade lockup, not even a tiny hint of wiggle. Appears to feature smallish bronze washers. Smooth assisted opening, a little tight out of the box. I would expect it to break in over time. This isn’t really a fidget knife due to the assist but the action is satisfying. The FRN scales are relatively smooth but have a gentle grippy texture. Well executed. The deep-carry pocket clip is plain and functional, looks pretty good and doesn’t impede a good grip. It is painted black so I’d expect it to wear with use. The blade is nice, coated with what looks like a decent black paint but probably not a long-lasting finish, so I’d expect some wear. The grind was even out of the box, and shaving sharp. There’s a false choil for detail work, deep enough that I’d consider using it with appropriate caution. The steel is 8Cr13MoV, not a high end steel but honestly, I like a steel I can sharpen on the rod from my kitchen knife block. Overall the knife has decent ergonomics, carries well and is subtle in the pocket. Easily a bargain at this price.

Great little flipper
Arlen F. on Mar 14, 2019

Great blade shape (reverse tango?) and smooth action. One of my favorite cheaper options to carry because it does what it’s supposed to every time, and the action and lock up is always crisp.

Great EDC
Skylar B. on Mar 16, 2019

This is a fantastic knife for the price. Good flipping action and really slender that you forget about it in the pocket. Really useful blade shape too! One of my faves.

My back pocket EDC
Keith P. on Jul 20, 2020

This is the perfect carry knife: very light weight, well-designed deep carry clip, and narrow body. It is slim enough to fit right next to my wallet in my back right pocket. The grip texture is extremely well-designed and lets me easily draw the knife. Blade design is extremely durable and practical. One-handed flipper operation is terrific. I use my knife a lot, and sharpen often. I like 8Cr13MoV13 steel quite a lot on my EDC knife for the value and ease of sharpening. I like the lighter weight of the Kershaw Atmos for front pocket carry, but the LCK's slim design is better for my back pocket. Outstanding EDC knife.

Genuinely surprised.

This knife might be a contender for Knife Of The Year. Super nice action, solid lockup, great design and ergos. The ONLY thing holding it back is that budget steel. So 4/5 until we get a sprint run haha. If only.

Great Value
Stephen G. on Dec 6, 2019

This is an extremely good value at around $28. However, with recent offerings from Civivi competing with better materials, I had to mark it down a star. Still, no matter the size of your collection and how high end your collection is, this is a great knife to have in it. It is light and compact and is a great blade shape. I would like a slightly better steel (maybe D2 or other higher end budget steel?), but it's not a huge knock on the knife at this price. The jimping on the flipper tab is a little aggressive, so flipping it over and over can wear on your fingers; however, this knife is a joy to flip, and I was pleasantly surprised by the action and the fact that it had PB washers at this price. It should also be noted that the detent is a little stiff on both ends, so you have to be a little extra careful when closing not to close it too fast on yourself.
