Sakimori translates to "Noble Defender" and this James Williams designed CRKT is the modern embodiment of the close-quarters battle sword of the Samurai. The full-tang dual grind, O1 steel Tanto blade has a high satin finish. Due to the high carbon content, the blade will require a film of oil. The handles are designed with classic cord-wrap with ray skin underlays, which compares well to more modern handle materials, giving excellent grip under all conditions. Sheaths are custom-fitted molded with their own convertible belt-mounting system. Grip detents and flaired entry lips allow the knives to be resheathed securely with one hand. A belt clip can be attached, and there is also a quick-release retaining strap.
Bought mine 2 years ago and it's my favorite EDC. Handle is amazing and better than one would think, sheath is kydex and a little lighter magic to tighten more. The blade! It will cut through the very fabric of time and reality so be careful when playing with (and you will) it and returning to sheath.
A bit bulky bit I've carried it on my side for 2 years and loving it. The 01 tool steel does like to rust so be sure to keep it oiled. Strong knife that will get the job done.
