The Filipino Bolo Machete from Cold Steel comes in various shapes and sizes. This machete version is inspired by a Talibong sword from the private collection of Dan Inosanto. The Talibong has a history of opposing blades like the Kris, Barong, Kampilan, and Japanese Katana. It was used by Filipino soldiers who fought for America in World War II and the Korean War. Today, about 17,000 Filipino Veterans remain from the original 260,000 who served. Cold Steel will donate 10 percent of the profit from this sword to the Filipino Veterans Recognition and Education Project to buy replica Congressional Gold Medals for surviving veterans and their families.
