Cold Steel's goal in creating the Pro Lite series was to provide a heavy duty folding knife with Cold Steel's superior strength and durability at an affordable price. Designed with famed knife-maker Andrew Demko, the Pro Lite sports a 4116 German stainless cryo quenched blade. The knife has a high satin polished finish and a versatile clip point profile. The handle is made from textured glass-filled nylon with a tough Tri-Ad locking mechanism. Get all the Cold Steel quality you can handle at an affordable price with the Pro Lite Clip Point folding knife.

I have purchased hundreds of knives over the years. I own and have given away a lot of Pro Lite knives. It comes razor sharp, and it is very easy to sharpen. Edge retention is decent, and the knife is almost indestructible. NOT a good fidget knife, but the lock up is extremely strong (most important factor for me). I'd rather buy 10 of these knives, than an expensive super steel that eventually dulls anyway.
I have this knife in blue and like it a lot. For the price it is hard to go wrong. I find it perfect for hiking when I go deeper into the backcountry and want something robust but still light. For local hikes I normally carry a Ka-Bar Dozier which is sufficient. I won't go into specifics on the knife as there's plenty of info out there. In short knife is light, strong, steel is fine, and I don't think the Tri Ad Lock would ever fail for my usage. Good price, outstanding value for the money IMHO.
Super sharp out of the box, but needed to work on the action and the tri-ad lock to loosen things up. Once a little TLC was applied... it's great. Great knife at a great price!
I have had this knife for a little over a week now. My first Cold Steel …. and was intrigued over the Tri-Ad Lock. It was a little stiff at first but after working it a bit, it has settled in nicely. The 4116 steel while not a super steel sharpens to a razor sharpness, though the factory edge was extremely sharp out of the box. You won't find any better for the price if you are looking for an every day carry. Blade HQ was very professional in fulfilling the order and fast shipping. A+
For 24 bucks total with shipping I cant complain! Also The pictures dont do it justice its beautiful and is a work horse. I do not have a problem with the tri-lad lock.
Way hard to open or close than you'd expect, but great quality. Steel is nothing to write home about but it came sharp and is ready to work. For $20 you can't really beat it if you are looking for a harder use EDC. Not good to fidget with lol
Incredibly stiff lock to close. I have only Just received the knife less than 6 hours prior writing this. I'm sure it will loosen up overtime. The 4116 was easy to sharpen to a mirror polish. And I love the clip point. Minus a Star because it is relatively difficult to close due to the super strong Tri-Ad lock.
The lock on this guy is reaaaally stiff. Overall nice Knife. I bought it primarily to give this german 4116 steel a try and so far its held the sharp factory edge quite well after about an hour of whittling. So I'm pleased.
Good build quality. Size and weight suit me very well for edc. I like that good ol' clip point blade profile. The blade arrived VERY sharp. I was expecting the Tri-Ad lock to be stiff, and it is. I will be working on that. A good purchase, made even better by excellent BladeHQ service.
pros= its sharp cons= lock back sticks, one hand openning is a chore
