The Legacy Butterfly Knife is a limited first production run from Combative Edge. This semi-exclusive release features the same tough, combat-ready design you'd expect from a Combative Edge folder. The Legacy is available in a dagger, drop point, or tanto blade style, made from extremely durable S90V stainless steel. This Legacy L3 model is equipped with a dagger blade in a two-tone satin and bead blast finish.

  • S90V steel for an extremely tough, wear resistant blade.
  • Titanium liners provide a strong, lightweight frame.
  • Textured G-10 handle scales offer a reliable grip.
  • Phosphur bronze washers for smooth flipping action.

As with all butterfly knives we recommend using loc-tite on the screws before taking it for a spin.

Nice design - - poor execution

Shipping from Blade HQ prompt as usual & was packaged well.

First thing I noticed upon unpacking this balisong was how dirty it was. The blade had oily grit all over it & even a few small hairs.

Second thing I noticed was the horrible/uneven grind on the blade. I can certainly sharpen a blade & don't mind doing so, but I'd expect a quality knife to have an immaculate grind from the manufacturer.

Third thing I noticed was that one of the Combative Edge insignias was not etched completely on one side of a handle.

The frame/liners are noted as titanium. While they look like titanium, they are strangely heavier than you'd expect from titanium hardware.

Overall design & concept is good, but the lack of QC from the manufacturer is obvious & does not warrant the $250 price tag.

If I could upload photos, I would. I will be returning this balisong.
