The Friction Folders from Deviant Blades are affordable custom knives that are designed to be legal to carry in places with stringent knife laws. The blade is non-locking. The blade has an extended tang that when in the open position is "locked" in place with the thumb on the spine. Friction at the pivot keeps the blade in the closed position.

The Curly folder has a unique blade shape with a recurve belly and slight hawkbill tip. The blade is black Gun-Kote finished steel and features a thumb hole, licensed by Spyderco, as well as thumb notches on the spine. The handle is contoured jade green G10 slabs. Aluminum backspacer.
