The Mini CQC-15 SFS with a plain edge is a smaller, but equally potent version of the Emerson design. The Mini Tant-Com features a tanto/recurve blade combo, which is the result of combining the virtues of the piercing point on the CQC-7 and the cutting efficiency of the Commander knife. The 154-CM steel blade features Emerson's patented "wave opening feature" for remote pocket opening. This knife has a comfortable, secure and ergonomic G-10 handle with a titanium liner lock frame and black tip-up pocket clip.

Customer Reviews

Perfect
Lance J. on Mar 31, 2018

I was skeptical of buying this knife after seeing that 3-star review of it. Once getting the knife it was perfect for me. I had no issues with opening the blade, it was always smooth and I still have no issues while using it. I own a few Emerson Knives and this is my favorite one.

Lock Stick Takes Away From An Otherwise Good Design
Darren R. on Mar 16, 2018

Although the ergonomics are outstanding (especially traction on the G10 scales), and I like the blade shape a lot, the lock stick that occurs about 40% of the time when the knife is flipped open with any real effort is really bad (requiring two thumbs to release the lock). While I guess it won’t close accidentally, I’m pretty sure this a bit excessive.
