I have been wanting to get an Exterma Ratio (especially a Desert Warfare model) for quite a while. They are kind of wild looking, but not necessarily obviously ergonomic looking. The Desert Warfare models make me think Personal Defense meets Eddie Van Halen (RIP). But they are not exactly inexpensive. When I saw the ER NK1 neck knife I thought here's my chance to get a taste so to speak. What was delivered was of impeccable quality, the knife fits into the Kydex sheath with a comforting 'snick' and releases again with a purpose. I'll add here that I also have a Spartan Enyo (another excellent product!) for comparison. The ER NK1 neck knife feels solid in the hand. But, the thing that was somewhat startling was just how small it is! This is not bad or good...it is just something to be aware of. I was expecting something I could really get my meat hooks on....but what came was a solid, but petite knife. The blade length of 1.75" is the running length along the edge. But because the edge is highly curved, the length really seems much shorter. On the plus side...it's VERY concealable! On the negative side, if you ever actually had to use it (God forbid), you'll need to REALLY mean it!

Back to the ergonomics...as funky as it looks, it actually feels good in the hand.

Quality Vs Price, it's right were it should be. Not a bargain, but not a steal either. Similar quality/build/price to the Enyo. Buy the Enyo for when you wear a loose polo and buy the ER KN1 for when you're in a suit....there is no such thing as too many knives; right?

Not sure how to add pictures to the review, they'd be helpful for comparison purposes.

Hope this helps.

Also, I like to throw a 'shout out' to Blade HQ Customer Service.....they're prompt, polite, helpful....always a pleasure doing business with Blade HQ.

Cheers!
