This is the one I'm itching to receive I was going to get the one with the black scales on it but then I saw the ziricote scales I ordered it immediately this will be my third Fox bastinelli knife
My wife typically rolls her eyes when I get a new knife, but not this time. She called it "beautiful" and I agree. The blade is sharp and has a great shape. It combines the feel of flipping a straight razor with a fully functional knife. The wood scales and leather sheath tie it all together. Very happy that I finally pulled the trigger on this wish list item. Update: If I could change one thing about this knife, it would be the placement of the jimping. I wish that it was on the flipper portion itself versus where it is on the spine. My thumb tends to slide forward when holding it. If the jimping were further back, the knife would be even better IMHO.
I am a big fan of Fox Knives, the quality is top shelf. The one I received is just beautiful and the blade action is super smooth. You adjust the blade friction to your liking. The leather pouch is made of heavy duty leather and should last a lifetime. The Bohler N690 steel takes and holds an edge very well. Overall an impressive work of art.
Sometimes you feel like trying something other than a tactical black flipper knife. This folder is both elegant and sharp. I can't fault anything in the build quality, materials or design. This blade can really slice and is a piece of old world art made with modern materials. It has a fine pointed tip for piercing and all edges are chamfered or polished. Simply wonderful. I guarantee you it turns heads when you use it. The leather pocket sleeve is every bit as nice as the knife and is comfortable in pocket. So if your thinking about stepping back from the commonplace give this Italian made beauty a try.
