The Rich Derespina designed Fox Parong Karambit knife is a beautifully crafted piece from Maniago Italy. The Fighting Karambit features a wide profile N690Co cobalt vanadium stainless steel blade with a black finish. The handle is full-tang with a finger ring pommel and textured G-10 scales. The Parong knife comes with a black Kydex sheath and MOLLE clip. This is a well-made piece that you'll be sure to enjoy.
The slicing potential of this blade is awesome. I have carried several karambit knives including the Emerson folder and fixed blade models. I also own a fox fixed blade karambit. The only thing missing from the fox parong is the controlling ability you have with the traditional hawksbill blade of most karambits. I think this fox parong makes up for the lack of controlling ability with its ability to slice objects much easier. I carry this iwb with Paracord around the belt. I don't use this blade for anything except self defense (no cutting boxes or cordage etc). It came sharp but I did tune it up on a leather strop and it does take an edge well. No nonsense fixed blade fighting knife. As with the Emerson blades I feel I could count on this fox blade performing if I ever needed it.
