Customer Reviews

Don't hesitate it's great!

This knife has really surprised me in use. The handle is extremely comfortable in hand and you can't tell from the pictures but it has palm swells in all the right places. The Becut steel is surprisingly good, from my research it is a stainless steel used in industrial applications and I can definitely see why because it holds a great edge and works through difficult tasks with ease. The handle material is plastic but in use, I find that it is fairly tacky in hand as it warms up and otherwise secure. The knife had held up to batoning within its capability and span, given the material I use in Texas is really dense i.e. oak and mesquite it holds its own and I am impressed. I took a slightly more beefy knife to the same task and sheared one of the standoffs in the micarta handle. The sheath is a leather/nylon mix and not bad, a traditional style that encapsulates half of the handle and was very secure on a recent backpacking trip. I prefer kydex but I am in no rush to replace this sheath. Overall this knife has far outperformed my expectations and I will be getting the scandi version very soon.
