The Ghostrike series of fixed blade knives from Gerber Knives are ultra-light self defense knives optimally designed for concealed carry. This smaller sized blade comes with a nicely flat molded sheath created for open carry on a belt, or concealed carry beneath an untucked shirt or jacket. The blade is crafted from 420HC steel and has a ceramic coating to protect against wear and to minimize reflection. It also has a fine edged, drop point blade that measures just over 3" long. It features a rubberized grip on the skeletonized handle to give a secure feeling in the hand. This knife also comes with a molded sheath that can be used for belt carry, or you can remove the belt loops for low profile concealed carry.
This is my first fixed blade for EDC and I absolutely love it and fits perfect to carry around the waist.
This is possibly one of the best products Gerber has produced. The knife is strong, lightweight and thin, it's very comfortable to carry no matter which carry option you choose you forget you have it on. The sheath is maybe the best sheath on any fixed blade I've seen, horizontal and vertical without an additional tech-lok system and the blade can go in any way.
This is a great EDC knife and is very sharp the sheath is nice and slim and easy to carry. I have carried it for a while and haven't had issues with the rubber coating coming off on the handle. And it's made in the USA!
Great little knife but if you Scout Carry it on your back the rubber on the handle wears and falls off after about 3 weeks of everyday carry. I think it was mainly from getting in and out of the car. That said, Gerber has a great warranty and replaced it for me!
I purchased this knife mainly to try out how I liked an EDC fixed blade that would be fairly concealed. This thing horizontal on your belt does just that. For me, I wear it horizontal x-draw in front near my belt buckle. Super handy and easy to get in and out of the sheath. The only reason I don't give 5/5 is the thinness, it's a give and take thing though honestly. Its super thin so its easy to wear but for extended use it begins to be a bit uncomfy but nothing terrible. Great workhorse!
The knife is very light and it is very comfortable to wear all day long. The handle is a bit small for my hand. I wish the handle had a bit more grip. The blade is VERY sharp. Overall it is a good knife for your money.
Good product for the price but not my most favorite blade. Gets the job done.
