The Gerber MP600 Bladeless is designed expressly for compliance with "No-Knife" policies of industrial facilities, hospitals, and other similar institutions that limit the kinds of items people carry on their bodies. The Bladeless helps ensure safety in the workplace, while still giving you the benefit of an industrial-strength MP's muscular multitude of tools. Its needle nose pliers are accessible with one-handed open. It contains rotatable, replaceable Tungsten Carbide wire cutters, and a brawny, removable RemGrit saw, so you can take it along or simply take it out. The MP600 Bladeless also contains a Phillips driver, three separate sizes of flat heads, a file, scissors, a built-in ruler, a lanyard ring, and a can and bottle opener, all of which lock in place for safe application.
I absolutely love Gerber’s multi-tools in this series. My last one lasted me thru 6 years in the building maintenance profession and it was handed down to my son when I got my current one, which is this model. Still in building maintenance, still use this thing every day, and it’s still in great condition. Nothing has bent or broken or come loose on this one or my last one. I’m not wild about everything Gerber makes, but these multi-tools are a real value.
out of the box, this weird black powder came off of it. I thought I could just rinse it, but the tools became super stuck and i broke a nail trying to get them out. The one-handed opening mechanism also sounds just like a gun slide, so be careful if using it in school or office. Good carbide cutters, though.
