Really nice, modern looking little knife. Looks and feels like it would cost way more than it does. No blade play and solid, quality feel. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that action is a bit stiff. Maybe it will improve with a bit breaking into, but opening is a rather slow affair that requires more of a deliberate, firm push on the thumb stud than a casual flick.
Has some very sleek lines in person. Great in hand and unexpectedly.

I bought this as something I thought could go unsheathed and concealed in my pocket when I didn’t feel like carrying a knife in my pantsuit in the office was a good idea (kind of like an on/off the clip kind of deal) and the detent is strong enough to trust while the thumb studs are the same dimension as the edge of the aluminum scales — you would have to deliberately and intentionally open this knife to get it open. It’s beautiful and multifunctional blade shape — however the lockup on mine is so tight and hard to bend the liner lock back that it’s starting to take off my already calloused skin (thumb stud callous). I am trying to work it in with use because it disappears in pocket and the deep carry clip is perfect and tasteful and I always get compliments on my “pen clip” at the office. As a real estate agent I never know who is going to come walking in or what the situation will be in an hr, and sometimes it’s better to be able to push my entire knife down into my pocket without the fear of hearing the clink on the ground if it falls out during a meeting, and rushing to put back my obvious looking knife away. I have dropped it on the floor, out of my pocket while in a meeting, and someone told me that I drop my charging bank— phew!! This looks completely unassuming and when it opens it clickssss open very sternly and you can hear that lockup. After some oil I can flick it with the spydie flick but have also taken a nail doing it incorrectly so I know it’s not meant for that ! If James brand made this knife I wouldn’t be shocked or unimpressed at all. Well done gerber. After this knife I bought a few more to try out (you know you all have a paralite or a paraframe in your home somewhere and loved it and still use it!) gerber has really really taken the design factor into account and have gotten a lot more hip recently. Thanks gerber !
Great knife.

One of my favorite casual carry knives. Solid feel, lockup and cutting ability. I think it's one of Gerber's best pocket knives of recent date. The aluminum scales look awesome and I may get one with the nylon scales too (to go with my MP400 compact sport multitool). The opening and lock up are stiff, but get smoother with use.
Wanted to like it.

So the design of this knife is cool and simple so I ordered two of them. One with aluminum handles and the other in composite. The knives look good and appear to be of good quality but they are very difficult to open with one hand. That kinda defeats the purpose of a knifle with a pocket clip and thumb stud. Hopfully they fix this problem. I like the Gerber brand and have owned many of their knives over the years they need to make the pocket square operate correctly and they will have a reall awesome addition to their line. The detent in the liner lock is way too deep. Until they figure that out I'd stay away from this knife.
Solid knife

The knife is great in the hand with the aluminum scales on the side. I EDC this and I forget I have it sometimes. The pocket clip is really subliminal, which i really like. The only hot spots when cutting for a long time is the clip, other than that it is very sleek and clean looking.
