The Helix folder embodies the very definition of a tactical combat knife, and to that end it was created. It is a collaborative design with the U.S. Protective Service that provides multiple rapid blade deployment options and the requisite toughness that a hard use knife must have. Regardless of whether you prefer the flipper tab or the thumb stud opener, you'll enjoy the smooth action on the Helix, which is optimized with a ball-bearing pivot and spot-on lock bar detent. This model has a black finished CPM-154 stainless steel blade with a compound grind. It has a machined G-10 handle with an integrated lock bar that utilizes a replaceable hardened steel insert. The recessed clip is mounted for tip-up carry and is just as hardcore as the rest of the Helix knife. Tactical model with all black hardware.

A commitment to excellence in knife design and product innovation are the driving forces behind Guardian Tactical's operations. It becomes apparent with any of their knives in hand that they are serious about their work.

Love the combat Helix. Folks at Guardian say the coating is KG gunkote, and from the web info, it appears to be a really good. It should stand up to heavy use. I really love G10, its sculpted great on this knife. The flipper tab is really small, but it grips your finger well. The pocketclip is simple and functional. No pocket tearing 3d clips here! Overall it is well designed and really fits the bill as a "tactical" folder.
