Great knife...but not for big hands.

Classic solid Helle construction and materials. Fit and finish is beautiful. This knife is definitely designed for work... but doesn't work for me.

To me this knife has a design flaw of too small a handle. The sweep of the handle at the pinky (butt) is very pronounced to allow for tight grip. Unfortunately due to the size of my hands, this forces my pointer finger up onto the heel and almost onto the blade. For comparison, the gripping surface is 1/2" smaller than the Helle Temagami. The palm swell also seems a bit too thin for me. Needless to say... my wife was pleased to get a new knife.
