I was skeptical of this blade at first. I hadn't heard much about JH knives, but have heard good things in general. It is not common I pick up a new knife and think "wow the build quality of this is impressive" but I did with this Shepherd. It is a very well-built, well-balanced blade. I haven't gotten to do much cutting with it yet, but will soon.
