tl;dr - best $40 you’ll spend on a folder this year! - Feels natural in the hand. Minimalistic and beautiful. The handles are smooth to allow extensive bushcraft use vs being grippy for panic retention, which abrades the hand much faster. You can see for yourself how nice the blade profile is. Arrived much sharper than my recent Kabar Doziers - unlike them, no snags or drags on copy paper. Whichever China factory Kabar chose, it’s a good one, superb fit and finish. Unlike most China contractors, this one apparently took the trouble to acquire real AUS8, a very consistent branded knife steel (Aichi) originally sourced out of Japan. Usually I’m plenty happy with the Chinese generic mill equivalent, 8Cr, but Aichi Steel Corporation has a great rep so I’m happy to see it here. Compared to Becker fixed, this is of course stainless not carbon, of course to avoid rust in the pivot areas. No side to side, or up and down, wobble, very good centering. It’s wild to see a wire clip on an over 5 ounce knife, but I like it. Lanyard hole.
