This is a nice item to have with you. It can be used for chopping without fear of breaking it. As well, it remains sharp for a long time of use.
This kukri was one of my first purchases from KaBar Knives. I have owned and used this machete for nearly 3 years, and it continues to serve me well. The blade itself is heavily weighted towards the tip, making for an excellent chopper. I have cleared large swathes of brush and grapevines with this machete, and the blade can even tackle saplings and small trees with ease. The occasional careless swing has caused this machete to come into contact with small stones and barbed wire, leaving small deformations in the 1085 steel. These rolls were easily sharpened out. The handle offers a secure grip and effectively absorbs shock. The sheath rides a bit low, but has held up well and carries the knife securely.
