Kershaw Camp 18 Fixed Blade Knife Machete (18" Black) 1074

I got mine two years ago and i’ve put insane amounts of use on it. it’s not like your average machete which is super thin and moves fast, this is thicker so it bites like an axe which took some getting used to but it is by far my favorite machete that i’ve ever owned. I read a previous review about it bending but it is really springy and in my case it only bent in the tip a few times and it hammered out. it did chip several times from hard use but once I sharpened the chips out it really added wearachter to the blade and it still cuts awesome. I paid $200+ for my swedish forester axe which also does a great job but whenever I have to cut into the dirt I use my machete and it gets more use than my axe. right when I got it i made a paracord hand guard and it really helped me grip the handle better but even like that I found it works much better while wearing gloves. when it breaks eventually I want to turn it into a bowie knife. I already own one of these and they have been discontinued for a while so it was really tempting to buy the last one available on your website but a hard one to explain that one to my wife right before hawaii vacation in two days and i’m trying to get the winter blades factor next month.

Very disappointed with Kershaw. I bought the machete the day that I received it I swung it one time and cut a branch the size of my pinky and the blade bent. I then contacted Kershaw and sent the blade back for replacement and it is literally like pulling teeth trying to deal with these people. The worst customer service I have ever received in my life. Very disappointed because I was a huge Kershaw fan and I owned numerous Kershaw knives but will not be purchasing anymore ever. The emails that were sent to me from Kershaw were very rude and we’re blaming me for the bent blade. Received an email from them saying that the machete was made for clearing brush not chopping branches hello it’s a machete. Blade HQ is amazing and offered to replace it but I refused because it is not their responsibility it is Kershaw and their product and they need to be the ones to deal with it not Blade HQ. Will never spend another penny on Kershaw again because of the way I was treated. And then I am hearing impaired and told them that I can only communicate through email or text and they literally told me that they don’t give out sympathy handouts. Was never looking for a handout just wanted my machete to be replaced and fixed and still to this day have not received a replacement
