Recently received my 1555G10D2. Top build quality is apparent to the eyes, feel and mind. Metal finish has great look. Operation is smooth. Size is perfect balance of function and convenience. Go the Kershaw website and look at their lifetime warranty terms. KAI/Kershaw is the real deal...I believe this knife does not need thumb studs. The flipper is very natural for me on this knife. Also, I contacted Blade HQ and customer service was great...It's nice when you are simply very happy with a purchase especially considering the price point. Just buy it....

Not a bad knife for the money. D2 was the reason I got it. The flipper is good but the tension to close it is a little heavy. Not a fan of the screw that rubs my hand on the lockbar stabilizer. The pocket clip has ripped the skin on my palm on heavy cutting before. Overall just a toss around knife. Not really in love with it. Would have rather saved and got a more ergo knife had I known.

Amazing what you can get for $30 these days. Fit and finish is good, blade centering is perfect, and it's a perfect size for edc. My only criticism is that the pocket clip isn't reversible for left hand carry. The pocket clip screws aren't long enough to reach the thin steel liner on the side with the g10 scale, so the screws spin freely. Kind of a bummer, as I bought this knife for a left handed friend. The search continues...

If you liked the original Cryo this is a fantastic upgrade. The obvious being the D-2 steel. The G-10 on this version is a tad more grippy and it's been drilled for "Quad" carry. Fast shipping from Blade HQ to Tennessee. In my pocket right now. Thanks Blade HQ.

I Cryo like I'm crazy. The slick stainless steel scaled original with OK steel was possibly the first Kershaw I ever purchased. I was and still am quite fond of it. Then I got the bigger version and was quite disappointed, ergonomically speaking. It just didn't feel good in hand. There was nothing mechanically wrong. And then. And then. And then I got this one. I have no issues at all with this. I is a great knife. I almost pocketed it today, but picked up a Recon 1 instead. I probably have 18 or so AOers from Kershaw. I have never had a problem with any.

If you havent own one of this little bugger... do yourself a favor and get one. I have been carrying this D2 Cryo for 2 months now. cutting everything from fruits to tiny wires. and still going strong in my pocket and in my truck. I sharpen it with Gerber Ceramic Pocket sharpner. and the other day i use this knife to cut carpet. slice thru them like cardboards. i knew i had to give this knife a 5 star review. im tempted to buy another one just to keep it in my collection.

Bought one to give to someone and I liked it, so I bought a second. Neat little knife, nice deep carry clip, liked the stonewashed finish. However the spring assist bar lasted about a week before snapping. Sending it to Kershaw for warranty work. Once it's back it'll be moving on.

When I got this knife it was great, for about 5 minutes I did not notice the blade play it came with. After I tightened the pivot screw to have no play it would no longer open all the way, (and no I did not tighten it all the way down, I just gave it a very slight turn). The knife stopped deploying well after the adjustment. After this problem became more and more annoying, I took the knife apart to oil and clean it. After I put it back together, it worked fine until the spring broke about a week later, so I ordered a new spring from Kershaw. After installing the new spring it still had this problem.
Must have.

My go-to knife for when I dont want to carry something expensive has been, for years, a cryo. This is a great upgrade, a great steel to keep an edge up on. Now i need 2 more so that I can afford to lose one!
Update: I bought one as a gift for my baby sister that keeps telling me she wants a pocket knife. She loves it as well. And people that complain about it not opening easily with the thumb stud are correct, but is there something wrong with the flipper tab?

There are 8Cr13MoV knives that cost more than this. Kershaws have been hit or miss for me, but this one is a definite grand slam. Fit and finish are good. D2 steel for this price?
