The Kershaw Decimus offers a gladiator inspired design based on Rick Hinderer's Maximus knife. It's outfitted with a single edge bayonet style blade with a sleek blackwash finish. The symmetrical handle is made from stonewashed stainless steel with a sleek black GFN overlay. Zig-zag texturing models that of the Maximus custom for a secure grip and a classic look. While in the open position, the flipper and handle form a symmetrical cross-guard that will keep your fingers safe during tough jobs. A reversible pocket clip and Hinderer filler tab finish off the durable EDC design.
Features:I feel secure carrying this with my regular work carry weapon in my awkward tac system. Deploys exactly the way I need it to and works well in everyday tasks.
Solid, affordable knife with a unique design. I'm always looking for something different to add to my collection and this was a great addition.
It's a good design it's good in the hands and it's really really sharp
Pro: Knife and blade are solid and feel good. Shaving sharp out of the box with a grind that will make keeping it that way easy. Looks fantastic. Con: The flipper has a sharp edge and is hard on old fingers. The amount of effort to needed to deploy the blade is the most of any Kershaw that I own and in own at least 15. Couple that and the sharpness of the flipper and opening this knife is not a pleasant experience. Even my CRKT's with no assist are easier to deploy. I'll continue to work with this one and if it gets easier with wear I'll amend this review. Dano
Have only had it for about a day, but so far it feels really solid. It is assisted opening and fires hard, giving it a satisfactory feeling during deployment. The ergonomics are pretty good, the cross-guard really has a nice feel and the handle swells in all of the right places for a really comfortable and secure grip. The knife is also just plain cool looking which is always a bonus! My only complaint is that the blade rubs against the lock side of the liner when retracting the blade at times, but other then that, a solid knife!
Shaving sharp right out of the box? Yeah, and pigs flew outta my ass yesterday. You couldn't cut a baby's turd with it and it doesn't come in a box. That being said, It did sharpen up nicely. Deploys well. Good price. Blade hq always fast when it comes to shipping. Thanks.
Over all this is a great knife. Loved the style the moment I saw it. Feels very solid in the hand and good lock up. Very impressed with the stainless slabs that make up the handle almost no flex when I squeeze them together. The only flaw is purely visual. The blade tip doesn't line up perfectly with the handle so it's not completely symmetrical.
