IDK, whenever I get a tool like this [knife/fire arm/magazines] I give it an inspection and do a light lube with a synthetic gear lube, work the action, and in this case touch up the edge on the strop. Love it, great works, thank you!
This is a great knife if you want a taste of the Emerson wave feature as well as a sturdy edc knife. It came well centered and the fit and finish was great. As other reviews have said the action is a hair stiff, but i'm sure a little oil and some breaking in will smooth it out. It is by no means lightweight, but I don't find it a cumbersome load. Overall, I am more than satisfied and hope to carry this knife for a long while.
I got this knife and it came relatively stiff. I tuned the knife by taking it apart and sanding the Teflon washers down with 800 grit sandpaper, then oiled it. and now it’s perfeclty centered and is very smooth.
I Love the function of the Emerson Wave. Such a great idea. As a law enforcement officer I love that the knife is ready to go as soon as you draw it out of your pocket. My dislikes; I think the knife is hard to open one handed using the thumb stud disk thing. Also I feel like the knife overly thick and heavy.like the handle is thicker than needs be. But it's cool to have an Emerson without reaching the price of a gun.
I really like the design of this knife but the pivot was just a bit too stiff. When i try adjusting it to loosen it a tiny bit the blade keeps rubbing on the right side of the stainless steel liners so yea the knife isn't perfectly centered but scraping from the handle was just too much. At first i thought switching the washers would do the trick but it didn't work. It could be the problem with the straightness of the blade, the size of the spacer
For the money, it’s okay. Overall, it’s really heavy, and the action is incredibly stiff. I’ve never been able to break it in or loosen it up.
