Kershaw recognizes the recreational aspect of throwing knives and has added the Ion thrower to their line. The Ion is BlackWash-finished stainless steel with a wide profile spear point blade, paracord wrapped handle, and a ringed pommel. Includes a set of three knives with a durable nylon sheath.
The the best or not the strongest. I'm am new to throwing and just do it for fun. And these nives are perfect because not there not the best but they are super cheap. There like $7 a peace so I can have fun with it and not worry about destroying it
I am new to knife throwing. I have thrown these for two days from a distance of about 12 feet, and already broke two of them. Maybe if you are a more experienced thrower and can get the knives to stick in the target every time they wouldn't break as quickly. This is my first set of throwing knives so I don't have anything to compare these to. I don't know if they are just junk, or I am too hard on the knives. Also, the paracord wrapped around the handle came undone after about an hour of throwing. It came unwrapped from all three knives.
I bought these a while back on a whim. I’ve been throwing knives for eight or nine years now and these are worse than the first throwing knife I bought from a flea market for 8 dollars lol. The cord came off within ten minutes of trying to throw them. I emphasize “trying” because they are so light weight that they spin inconsistently. Even when throwing it how Kershaw demonstrates in the YouTube video. I gave up on them as throwing knives, however, I made one into a rope dart and it works fantastically! Pretty much the only upside to these knives.
