Never really deemed a lone bottle opener worthy enough for its own spot on my keychain since i usually have a SAK handy or lighter for that matter. But I had been looking for something else to give my Olight I3E some company on my Keyring and the Pub certainly caught my eye. My first piece with carbon fiber and so far so good. The bottle opener works great and I noticed there’s a flat spot on opposite side for getting under can tabs. Threw the mini meat cleaver blade in my Lansky and got it sharper than i probably should have for a knife with a kind of funky deployment. I keep it on a Keyring & carabiner on a belt loop and I sometimes struggle to get it open and off with my car key and flashlight in the way. All in all A great buy for a cool edc gadget under $20
Great little knife. Beefy enough to do simple cutting tasks yet small enough to be on my keys.
This is my new favorite EDC! The thin construction coupled with the carbon fiber scale (which is beautiful btw) make it feel completely weightless in the pocket. The detent is strong enough to make me feel 100% safe with it in my pocket, on my keys, or open and in use, while still remaining very easy to open and close with one hand. The blade came razor sharp and hasn't lost its edge after a few weeks of simple daily tasks. 8Cr13MoV is an easy steel to sharpen, and the modified wharncliff blade (arguably the best shape for edc) is, in my opinion, the easiest shape to sharpen too. The only downsides I've found are mostly just minor annoyances. The opening in the tang might be a bit too small for some things, but for belt loops and keyrings it works perfectly. Also, due to the way the blade is shaped (slanting upwards), the top of the handle juts out a bit, which could cause sharpening to be a bit tricky. My particular knife had a little bit of scraping on the carbon fiber and small chip/dent in the tang. For $20 though, I can hardly complain! I absolutely recommend this to anybody who's looking for a small, universally legal EDC. Definitely worth the money!
A great knife for hanging on your belt loop or keychain. The screwdriver on mine doesn't really work, but the blade works great with small tasks, and the detent is solid so there's no reason to worry about it opening if it's in your pocket. The unique design is also just fun and the carbon fiber looks really nice.
