I bought this knife the year I graduated high school because I broke the tip off my Leek, and have carried it ever since. The Volt SS is a fantastic knife for many reasons: minimal blade play, thick(ish) blade, low maintenance, durable, decent assisted opening, looks classy, and is a great price. I have not broken the tip or otherwise damaged the blade the whole time I've had it, which often is an issue for knives in this price range. Though the knife looks slippery, the blade jimping, plastic insert, and grip shape all lock the grip into your hand very effectively: I have used this knife when covered in sweat and grease and never had it slip. The frame lock is also more robust than you'd expect and has never been a problem. The assisted opening usually works well, but occasionally doesn't fully open the knife (you can loosen the pivot a bit to improve this, but I prefer reduced blade play). The knife carries well in the pocket and the clip is fine. While this isn't some fancy designer knife made of supersteel, it is an extremely high-value, high-utility knife that will last a very long time.

Kershaw Volt, this knife is debatably RJ Martin best design. What a masterpiece. From the very first open of this knife, I fell in love. The blade is sharp, secure, has a unique/useful shape, and has a finish that is mark resistant. The action is very smooth, absolutely effortless to open and easy close. The bead blast finish is almost soft feeling and adds to the impressive ergonomics. Even reaching past the knife inside the pocket is surprisingly comfy because of the uniform and sleek design. Speaking of ergonomics, the gimping on the Volt is pretty great. Like Mr. Martin put the gimping on the top of the blade, and liking it so much he elected to just go nuts. On the cons side, the pocket clip does come tip down and isn't the most comfortable, but that is really the extent of the complaints. Other than that, this is a wonderful knife. The overall look and feel on the Volt are great and I could not be more pleased with weight and size. Truly a five-star knife and sets a new standard for pocket knives. 95/100

I've had this knife a few years. It's slim in the pocket and decently low ride for a non-deep carry clip. Great slicer and comfortable in hand.
Blind purchase and its amazing
